E3 2016
Re: E3 2016
“The Triforce is made up of Princess Zelda, Ganon and Link. Princess Zelda is obviously female. If we made Link a female we thought that would mess with the balance of the Triforce. That’s why we decided not to do it.”

I never want a female Link, but the response is amusing and not much haha.

I really just hate the stamina wheel that was in SKyward Sword. Looks like Nintendo kept it for this game too, unfortunately

Not having a sprint option in a bigger open game would be pretty annoying.Soldier Blue wrote:I really just hate the stamina wheel that was in SKyward Sword. Looks like Nintendo kept it for this game too, unfortunately
If you could sprint indefinitely that would be better, if that's what you're getting at.
Re: E3 2016
The "shrine" they showed off definitely wasn't much of a dungeon.

I don't care one way or the other but I always felt the excuses not to make it an option have been silly. Like that one.Xeogred wrote:“The Triforce is made up of Princess Zelda, Ganon and Link. Just say, "Link is a boy," and move on instead of dancing around it.

I think you may be right. I need to get a decent gaming PC at some point though so I can play some GOG stuff.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Nah. Just someone who prefers retro games to modern. I'm in the same boat. I'm way more interested in what Atari homebrews will drop next year or what we'll see next on GOG.com than I am in E3.jmbarnes101 wrote:I think I'm becoming a curmudgeon.
I will get dat new Zelda no matter what though.

Now that I can play Dead Rising 3 at an acceptable framerate, I'm just not enjoying it. Mind you, I found the previous entries to get quite tedious once the "fresh" element expired. Dying Light is a good zombie game, but we now have two major upcoming Z games with the third person perspective, and a possible Dead Island 2.

Seriously. I for one don't appreciate these entitled brats misguided players trying to change the gender of long standing fictional characters they did not create. Why not instead ask for a Zelda game where Zelda is the main character, and leave Link out of it. And yes I'm aware of the shitty CD-i Zelda games and no they don't count in a modern context.Gunstar Green wrote:Just say, "Link is a boy," and move on instead of dancing around it.

Re: E3 2016
I'm not sure what to think of the new Zelda. It looks good (other than the trees in the wind, yeesh), and the scene riding over the bridge gives me huge Twilight Princess vibes, which is up my alley. The open world aspect makes me nervous though- how big are we talking? Ridiculously big, full of small points, or decent sized and well filled? My main issue is the amount of games with huge play areas is how little of them are filled with things to do. On the other and, I'm still hyped for my chance to get Mad Max, so...
I also had a slow and stupid realization- the new God of War (why that name... what's wrong with 4, or at least a sub title to it?) isn't brawler style camera and action, its over the shoulder. That... is interesting to say the least, but there's mumbles that what we saw is only a tutorial bit, and you actually play the boy at a later time. But, I feel like while we did good last generation, we're a bit lacking in the brawler games, and I'm scared that a big name like this moving away from the style could influence others to avoid it.

Hell, Zelda is and can be Shiek. I'd be all for that game.
