I believe that you can't. You can in the Dynasty Warriors one.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Nope

Relatively few upcoming games seem to be giving a choice there, actually, unless they do full-on customization (like I'm sure the new Obsidian RPG will have).

So you guys with lots of open world game experience... how unique does Breath of the Wild look? Is it showcasing a lot of innovation and unique mechanics? Or is this just a Zelda skinned concept you've already seen before?

Sort of the vibe I got but it's hard to say since they didn't really show much.

A little bit of column A, a little bit of column B. While open worlds have been used extensively these last few years, I'm hoping Nintendo really polishes this and makes it stand out in the market. What has me most intrigued is the variety of movement systems available. Being able to climb up walls and trees has me very intrigued along with the gliding and raft options.

I think this trailer shows a fair amount of overworld gameplay:

Also shows what is clearly a dungeon entrance, but doesn't go into the dungeon.

It's unique for the series, but not really to gaming. Other games have done similar things, and apparently they're all the rage. Most of the time, they just induce rage from me. Or reasonable displeasure.

I'll probably still buy it, though. And honestly, if done right, those mechanics in other games haven't kept me from enjoying them. I just have somewhat specific things I expect from a Zelda title, and this is definitely traipsing a bit more into CRPG territory.

There's no question there will be dungeons. The only difference is there's going to be a sprawling overworld full of random junk. If they can make it somewhat worthwhile to poke around or craft or anything else they've added, then it could work out well.

EDIT: I do like the additional mobility options, though.

hey so here's something that slipped by most E3 news outlets... MS will soon be selling Xbox One controllers that use Bluetooth. That'll be nice for PC gaming (if you didn't pay for a friggin' USB dongle like I did.....)

I did see it mentioned, but the controller in general is revised, so more focus did seem to be on that (and the customization options).

That'll be tempting though, since that dongle is annoyingly large (at least it hasn't blown a fuse like the 360 one liked to do).

it is way bigger than it needs to be. I hide it in a port on the back of my rig. But yeah, it means I never use it on my laptop for fear of snapping it off.
