How's your NES gaming going? What's your NES library like?

You might be right about the challenge. But I take more enjoyable play control over challenge every time.
Heck, I'd probably enjoy having a double jump in the NES Castlevanias.

I didn't mention it, and still haven't the time annoyingly to fire it up still in a few days but I did buy a Hello Kitty World game for Famicom, it's the NES reskinning of Gameboy Ballon Kid (aka Balloon Fight 2.) I think it will be fun and I know my 4 1/2 year old daughter would eat that up as she likes Hello Kitty. I just need to get Kero Kerokeropi Daibouken 2 (hello kitty character spinoff game) that's a platformer that is well done.

Now that I've got my Retron 5 and the ability to use its patch feature, I'm going to start ratcheting up my Famicom collection....as soon as I pay off my various debts. So probably not for a few months since I'm going to BronyCon in July. >_< But I'm planning to snag Famicom Wars, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Fire Emblem, and Fire Emblem Gaiden sometime this year.

You could use the Leaf Shield on Air Man, but it was probably easier to just use the Arm Cannon. Flash Man was weak to Metal, but also weak to the Arm Cannon (just less so). And tons of bosses in general were weak to Metal. It's actually kind of insane.
Flash Man also has a Bubble Lead weakness. That made my order B > F > Q > M > W > A > C > H. There really is no defined order for this game then, either. I just put Heat Man @ the end only because Item 2 makes the stage much easier.

But the always awesome Mega Man Home Page has a totally different order for MM2, and also says that one fully charged Atomic Fire will kill Wood Man in one hit, much like a Metal Blade does on Metal Man!

That's how I've always done it though I will mix it up with Woodman first for fun since the stage is awesome and he's a push over with the pea shooter anyway. It's always him or Metal Man that get scrapped first.

Also crash bombs can do some serious damage to Quickman. My first several playthroughs, that was my weapon of choice for him

I typically always start with Metal Man, even if he isn't the preferred start boss. Well, he is if you want the Metal Blades early. I can pretty consistently beat him without taking a hit. I really should try a Arm Cannon-only run. At least where that's viable. I think I did back in the day, but the memory's kinda fuzzy.

I actually miss the days where bosses had multiple weaknesses. I remember going through MM9 and pretty much choosing an order that practically guaranteed I didn't have the right weapon (nearly) every time. It was actually pretty bad luck that I went through it the way I did.

Any thoughts on Chiller? I love Exidy and am trying to collect all their console ports but this one looks, well, kinda stupid.

It pales in comparison to the arcade version.

Which wasn't a good game anyway.

It's cool to have in a collection since it's fairly rare, but it's just an "okay" game. If you're a fan of Exidy and a fan of the NES, though, I'd say it's worth adding to your collection.
