Aluminum doesn't rust, also due to the boiling effect, much of the water due to the heat falls right off. Doing the in/out cleaning gets the rest trapped, and a good shake or two will do it. If need be let it sit for a 1/2 hour if you want or hit it with a hair dryer just don't melt the plastic.
On the one I did, I let the heat do the work and gave it a shake after a couple dippings, and gave it 30min and it was fine. You'd just want the pins touching the mobo inside to not be wet, that might corrode in there I suppose if it were still moist.
How's your NES gaming going? What's your NES library like?

Picked up a small crt not long ago and finally hooked it up tonight. Taught my wife how to play Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley. She had alot of fun with them especially the skeet shoot mode on Duck Hunt

Even all these years later I still hate that stupid dog! Of course when I had my sister play it close to a year ago when I did have that Sanyo crt she picked up on the stand real close and shot method....cheater. Fun game but that dog is so annoying
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

I used to unload spare rounds on the dog for fun.
My library has shrunk further with me pulling a few more light weight commons recently and just tonight I tossed RC Pro Am2 and Gimmick to the wolves on ebay.
The interest in the NES/SNES hasn't died in me, but the will to play in the current environment has and to the point I'm strongly considering ditching all but my 90s pick ups that have aged well and still are fun. I should be around 55 NES games, maybe 15 famicom and 2 bootleg/multicarts. The SNES is roughly if not exactly the same.
I've put my coin into Gameboy. Between the three DMG/GBC/GBA it sits at 39/29/43 respectively. I currently have the Genjin Collection GB (DMG) inbound from Japan, Sgt Rock for GBC too, and also potentially Indiana Jones Infernal Machine GBC as well coming soon. Pushing 110 games across the family, long away from the most NES I ever owned (330) at one time, but at least I pick away at things and keep what I value so that's something.

You can shoot the dog in Vs. Duck Hunt (arcade version)!
According to my RF Generation collection, I now stand at 70 NES games, 1 short of the 71 2600 games I have now. I picked up 7 more NES games in March!
I'd like to see how much that RC Pro Am II is going to go for. Sgt. Rock is a great GBC pickup too!

NES/Fami is the largest subset of my collection too, which is odd because I feel like I never buy NES games. I musta acquired a bunch back when they were still "cheap." Inexpensive Fami carts help pad the number as well, I suppose.

I sold RCPA2 privately about an hour ago, if you're curious what PM me but it wasn't near the high end of ebay lately ($80-110~ish.)ExedExes wrote:You can shoot the dog in Vs. Duck Hunt (arcade version)!

And Sgt Rock is like the old Frontline arcade and commando arcade games rolled into one so it should be fun.
Also that's not bad on the collection size, it's really not so much the quantity but the quality and if that keeps you happy the number is just that, a number.

In the last two days a beat a couple of games I always wanted to as a kid
Karate kid
Tecmo world wrestling
Mega man 3
I love the fact that I'm playing these games and finally beating them. Trying motto cheat or anything but karate kid I had to. That game was frustrating

My thoughts on mega man 3 is its just as good as part 2 but a little more difficult. The music, stages and enemies are just as classic as part 2.
