The THS7314 amp will work fine, but I was never a fan of that method.

Why's that? I've modded a bunch of N64s using the THS7314 and never had any issues with it.

Let me rephrase: My opinion is that the NJM amp is better than the THS for the N64 RGB mod.

In my opinion, My Life in Gaming (on Youtube), has great coverage on RGB mods, and they often say that it's up to your own eyes to determine which mods are best sometimes.
