That's casual talk. I've got a backlog, I have no plans to slow down my buying habits, but I'm going to beat it one day (possibly after retirement).Exhuminator wrote:Folks. It's not a BACKLOG, it's a LIBRARY.

Better prioritize those twitch games now while you've got reflexes for it!MrPopo wrote:That's casual talk. I've got a backlog, I have no plans to slow down my buying habits, but I'm going to beat it one day (possibly after retirement).

I mean, more power to you and all that. But calling your collection of games a "backlog" makes them sound like just a pile of unfinished work. I for one beat games for enjoyment, not as a to-do chore list.MrPopo wrote:I've got a backlog, I'm going to beat it one day
As for buying games. I know full well I'll never beat all the games I already own, but I still buy more every week. Gotta feed the beast. Coal for the furnace 'cause there's no stopping this crazy train, it's been chug chugging too damn long.

Gaming after retirement... Will it be as good? I mean, after your seeing and hearing starts to go, arthritis kicks in, and your reflexes slow down.
I had the same feelings. Whenever I read something about "how to take control of your backlog" and hardly agree with anything. I don't want to turn my unplayed games into a chore.Exhuminator wrote:I mean, more power to you and all that. That's when I plan to beat all the rpgs and turn based stategy games! Don't need reflexes, just wits!Ziggy587 wrote:Gaming after retirement... Will it be as good? I mean, after your seeing and hearing starts to go, arthritis kicks in, and your reflexes slow down.

But it's not a chore. It's more like a bucket list. I have this list of shit I want to finish before I die.

Cool, call it a "bucket list" and not a "backlog" then. That makes more sense for sure.

The site is called Backloggery, thus it's a backlog.Exhuminator wrote:Cool, call it a "bucket list" and not a "backlog" then. That makes more sense for sure.
