First: I'm becoming more and more of a jerk. I mean, sure, I've been sick a week and a half now, so that doesn't help, but I tend to heckle a lot on the threads about newer games. I also give the little nitwits who won't capitalize, use punctuation, and otherwise separate their thoughts into distinct sentences hell. I guess that last bit isn't new... If this is a problem, let me know. Otherwise, do encourage me, especially if you find it amusing. Or something. This could be the fever typing.
Second: What's with all this new console crap? Aren't any of your people poor or something? I have so many older games that I haven't finished or beaten. I'm certainly not going to refuse to play something new (I did actually sit down to play and beat Halo within the first couple years it was out) but I don't have those new systems and I can't justify the expense. No, I'm not complaining that you all are chatting about it. That's allowed, encouraged even. But there have to be some other penny pinchers out there who are perfectly happy with old shit.
And yes, I risk becoming one of those old curmudgeons at the mall. In my day, we had to hit buttons on the control pad, and hit them quickly! None of that waggling or mind-control crap! You spoiled young-uns! What do you know about FUN?
Agreed, I am the same way. Actually, I got my first gamecube less than a year ago, when i noticed that they were 29.99 at gamestop. And I have been picking up the best games for the system by watching pawn shops and flea markets. As a matter of fact, I just picked up Ocarina of Time Master Quest, and Smash Bros. Melee for 9.95 each.
My point is, I am perfectly happy enjoying games a generation later at a fraction of the cost!
