Ah, cheers buddy!
HELP GUYS! It's saying I can't activate it as my primary console, because I've already activated another system as my primary PS4! (I haven't... I only own one PS4!) :?

I'd be suspicious of fraud, but no one has ever used my account to buy games and I'm always careful to keep an eye on my bank account.
Ok, tried deactivating the "other PS4" on the website on my laptop and it says I can't as "I already recently deactivated my console(s)" and you can only do it once every 6 months. I have never used the deactivate option, I didn't even know how to, I had to Google it. Definitely smells like fraud (or hopefully just a glitch). Ringing Sony on Monday...

Oh and the worse thing? I've googled this and it seems loads of people have had the same problem and Sony won't do fuck all! So I'm not too optimistic that phoning them will do much. I changed my PSN password though as a security measure.

Just to add to my above posts, I checked my games list in my Sony account and someone downloaded a whole bunch of my games sat in my PSN library on the 21/01/16. It wasn't me, so I definitely must have had my account taken. Interestingly they didn't use my account to buy any games with my credit card, presumingly because they know if they did that I'd notice and have the transactions blocked (and Sony would then block my account).

So, instead, I guess they know they can simply download and play all the games I have bought and then deactivate my console and activate their console, so they can enjoy all of my games on their own account. They also probably know that Sony probably won't do anything unless they actually fraudulently use my bank cards.

I'll see what Sony say when I phone them tomorrow. If Reddit and Sony forums are to be believed, this is actually more common than it should be and Sony won't do a single thing.

Obviously, I've since changed my password, added the need for a password at checkout and I will be removing my cards from account in a minute. Why doesn't Sony have two-step verification? It's 2016!

Anyways, what I'll say is, those with PSN accounts, be careful. I am not stupid and I am incredibly careful with security. I do not hand out any personal details to anyone. I keep my computer's security up to date. I use different passwords for different accounts. I do not fool easily and there's no way I've been victim to any phishing scams. At the moment, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever how someone gained access to my account. Considering I've looked online and there has been numerous reports from users having the exact same problem as me over the last month or two, it's possible that PSN (shock horror  ) may have some security flaw.

It really is scary, man. I don't know how to explain it. I just feel violated. It's such a weird feeling and it makes me feel really anxious about my security. I've gone mad with everything I know that is important, changing my passwords on everything and having a different password for everything.

I just scrolled down the 'newsfeed/what people have been doing' (I don't know what it's called) bit on the PS4 menu and it's saying "I" have played Dead Nation and earned trophies in Game of Thrones. WTF?

I've changed my PSN password, which will have hopefully locked "them" out. But how do I know I'm safe? How do I know I won't just get "hacked" or have my details stolen again?

So, I've spoken to Sony. The rep I got through to was very friendly and attentive. After a number of questions, he confirmed that someone accessed my account last week and deactivated my console and activated theirs. He's recorded information on that console and is escalating it with the security team for further investigation.

He then deactivated the other PS4, allowing me re-activate my own one.

So all in all, well done Sony. You were helpful and you got me my console back as the primary console. I've changed my password and security question etc and hopefully I'm safe.

I will mention though that Sony's Customer Service rep kept reinforcing that deactivating the other console is only a one time thing and they shouldn't really do it, but they'll do it this one time and they won't do it again and it's down to the "user" to do, which they can only do once every six months. It's only a minor complaint and I really appreciated the guy's support, but c'mon, man, you looked at my account and confirmed someone used my login details and deactivated my console. It wasn't me.

Since I just got another PS4 I've been playing the handful of games I've picked up for cheap in the months since I purged my PS4 library from my collection. Starting with The Order 1886 it is a pretty game, but after an hour in it's easy to understand why it's $10 new at Gamestop :P. The forced walking during a ton of scenes blows, the gun play is a pretty stiff, and the first werewolf fight left me rolling my eyes. I saw videos of the werewolf combat on youtube, but I didn't think it was honestly as bad as they made it out to be. After playing it though I have to say whoever programmed the AI for the wolves really crapped on the game. All it does is charge you in a straight line giving you a 3 second window of time to easily dodge then it runs to the other end of the room while you fire at it only to turn around and repeat the same actions ad nauseam till it dies.

I watched a couple videos and...yeah, I wasn't too terribly impressed.

Though, as far as AI goes, it could have been much worse.
