And a Zelda discussion full of negativity, at that! Happy gaming, people, happy gaming! ;)

It's because Zelda is the master franchise.

I think because Zelda is loved by generations of gamers, and some people have remained happy with it, others don't like the poor(or not) changes they've done over the years towards present, but despite that they can still love and respect various games in the franchise still and relate to it.

I entered a Goldeneye tournament earlier today at a retrogame store called Starlite Gaming. I won and got $10 in store credit, which I used to buy Hyperzone and Heyankyo Alien. I also bought DOA Ultimate, Transformers for PS2, Donkey Konga, Sega Marine Fishing, 4x4 Evolution, Sonic Universe #82 (with a cool variant cover), a Resetti Amiibo, and one of those big Pixi Stix all for about $60.
Insert clever quote here.

My girlfriend promised to take me to all the second-hand shops around here (I really don't know how to even search for these stores...) next weekend so we can shop for games for my new Saturn. Last week was payday... that's what I call happy gaming.
I review (mostly old) games at: The Annals of Retrodom.

My wife and I started playing Army of TWO: The Devil's Cartel last night. It's the final game in the trilogy (we've already beaten the first two games). It never ceases to impress me how much my wife enjoys violent games. Her favorites are first person shooters and match fighters. So while we were playing Cartel last night she snuck up on a baddie and knifed him in the throat. She then let out a maniacal giggle and kept on sneaking. It made me happy that I have a wife who will not only play games with me, but also ostensibly "manly games". To be honest though, sometimes she scares me a little. :?

I think your wife and I would get along.

That means when I play games with friends, they let me be the tank because I'm the violent one.

There is a phrase that gets used for it. "Go do what you do best, Ack." That means I get to go kill people. A lot of people.

Someday I hope to virtually slay Ack over and over until he weeps for mercy and becomes my footstool.
