I love Blades of Steel and Tecmo Bowl Football (Both NES and SNES) but I would have to say I still love playing Snoopys Silly Sports Spectacular!

I no its not really a "sports" game, but its hella fun! Boot throwing, pogo sticking, pizza carrying.... its a classic!

Ah the great NES baseball debate. Bases Loaded? Base Wars? Legends of the Diamond? Baseball Simulator 1000? Baseball Stars? And I've never even heard of Bad News Baseball! This is where I hit the wall trying to properly cover sports games in my greatest games lists. So many damn options, and it takes forever to thoroughly play them all, which is why I started this thread.

I know I started this thread ages ago, but I'm finally starting to pull together the Top 10 list, and so far I have, starting with #1...

NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (SNES, Genesis)
NHL Hockey '94 (Genesis)
Sensible Soccer (Genesis, SNES, SMS)
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (NES)
Baseball Stars (NES)
Tecmo Super Bowl (NES)
Kirby's Dream Course (SNES)
Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run (SNES)
Pete Sampras Tennis (Genesis)
Ice Hockey (NES)

...How's that look? In general, seems like the less realistic, more stylized games have aged better than the ones that tried to faithfully duplicate the sport.

When I visited my cousins who owned a SNES and they were bored with kicking my ass at Street Fighter, they were content to kick my ass at NBA Jam and Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run.

Nice, I remember playing NBA Jam co-op with my brother, getting on fire and shutting the AI opponents out for the entire half.

California Games for the Master System is the best version of it that I've played and really pretty good.

I'm fairly certain that I'll be alone, but Joe Montana II is my personal favorite football game from the 90s.

The only other game that hasn't been mentioned that I think holds up fantastically is World Series Baseball.
