Tomorrow I'm a homeowner and I bought an everdrive

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yay!

Now trim those hedges and bushes!Pressure wash the exterior! Mow, edge, and blow the lawn! Fix the leaky faucet and the toilet bowl handle! Something is up with our water pressure, please check it out! The air coming from our A/C is warm, please look into that. Garbage disposal seems to be stuck...etc. ;)

Home ownership is great, but comes with more work than I ever imagined. Enjoy it, embrace it, and have fun moving stuff around and enjoy making your house your home.

OK, so I think it's awesome you now have a house, but this is not the kind of thread one bumps. In poor taste, dude. In poor taste...

Congratz.

You won't regret the Everdrive. Such a cost and space saver. In this day in age, collecting just isn't worth it imo unless you already established a nice one and have some money to spare.

Mad hatter, I absolutely love the everdive. I should of done this a long time ago. It's so much fun playing this on the nes. Just reset and boom any game I want.
I still get psone and ps2 games in the wild like I got transformers for the ps2 for 1.99 and to me that's cool.
I do have a question though. See I'm setting up an 80's/90's retro room so I'm going to have for game system setups. Atari 2600, nes, snes, Sega Genesis, ps1, n64.. Since there the most popular systems, which system should I get next, I own the ps1, and nes, and a n64.
So I need the n64 everdrive, a Genesis and the Genesis everdrive, a snes and the snes everdive, and an Atari 2600. So where should I start first.

You should get whatever you think you'll enjoy the most! 2600 will be the cheapest as far as flash cart goes (you'll want the Harmony) if that affects your choice. Personally, out of those 4 systems, I prefer SNES and Genesis, but this is a question of what you like the most.

Breakdown of flash carts:

2600: Harmony cart will play any commercial release and most homebrew. Harmony Encore will play every current homebrew as well, AFAIK.
N64: ED64 v3 will play every N64 game and *I think* most 64DD games, with more compatibility actively being worked on
Genesis: MegaED will play every Genesis game except one (Virtua Racing), every 32x game (assuming you have a 32x connected), and every Master System game (assuming you don't have a 32x connected).. and I think you can hack it for some SG-1000 games but that takes some work.
SNES: SD2SNES will play a lot of games (the most of any current flash cart), but not all because enhancement chips are stupid. Notably, it doesn't play SuperFX (Star Fox) games or SA1 (Yoshi's Island, SMRPG) games. In theory, it's being worked on and may eventually play them. In reality, it's slow going if ever.

So there you have it.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

Cool thanks for the info. I think I'll start with the Genesis. As far as the Atari goes, the games are so cheap if I find a bundle in my area for like 50.00 I'll jump on it.
It's going to take time and I expect to get my room done by summer of next year. Just now gotta wait and find stuff either free or cheap at a goodwill or savers.
Has anyone got thoughts or ideas of an 80's/90's retro room? I'm thinking of starting with a boombox or stereo system after I find a TV of course
