For the most part (granted not much time has passed), I think the general consensus has been that most folks just want to play games and discuss them with the community. No one has come out to say, "the selection process must remain exactly as it is!". So maybe there's something to this? I certainly wouldn't mind. I think the forum staff and long time regulars here are some of the most knowledgeable folks I've ever seen in terms of retro gaming. If this is something that would ease some of the stress of the TR selection process for those most impacted by it, I'm all for it.Ack wrote:If I had my way, TR would be decided by a cabal of a handful of members with the goal of making members aware certain games and genres exist and helping to push them out of their comfort zone just so they can say, "I did it."
Ha, that one was so under the radar I'd totally forgotten about it! Good call. I know very little about that game, but based on the enthusiasm I've seen here my curiosity has definitely been piqued.MrPopo wrote:I'd argue that Star Control 2 is pretty out of left field for those not familiar with it. It's just that the devotees have been extremely vocal in this thread.
