Really? What was your SFC username?
My username on that forum was "Ace". Looking through it again right now and remember a few of these users, haha.

Yeah, about the only people that still post on SFC are the die-hard members that essentially grew up there. Myself included. Although I run into people all the time. Like now! SFC was pretty big as far as singular series fan sites go.
Check out my YouTube Channel DariaPlays for super nerdy video reviews on classic RPGs and Adventure titles. Bonus: I don't suck! Pinky-swear.

I wonder if my ancient troll topics (long before the public got to know the term as it is used now) are archived on a server somewhere

I'm not old enough, and having been a user of the internet (at least in the case of anything that requires forums) long enough to have lost much over the years.

However, there's a few things I can think of. There was a forum for Harvest Moon I was all over around the time FoMT came out, and I was all over that bad boy. There was a forum rule to NOT post anything from strategy guides and the like, so everything had to be found by playing the game, or code searching. It was magical finding things out as they came through the grape vine, or by discovering something yourself. That was a great forum, and despite being full of adults, stayed clean enough to make it past the Child locks my Mom had on the computer.

Although it hasn't been long since it was lost, I miss Joystiq. It was a nice website for keeping up with things, without too much fluff.

There were also some gaming groups I played with in my early online gaming days. One local friend group, and one I had found online that was really nice. Not that there was a huge deal going on with those, but it meant a bit to me.
