Re: Looking into buying a PS3...

Just chiming in...my family has owned a 20gb PS3 since launch and it has been extremely reliable, as in not a single issue. It hasn't even been given the TLC that it probably deserves. It replaced a defective slim PS2 and has been playing PS2 games probably more than PS3 games for a long time now. T...

How in any way is that a problem? Christian Bale is an outstanding actor.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

jp1 was helping me out and he also informed Device Manager would not be very helpful. I went to Samsung's website (maker of my laptop) and they didn't have any firmware updates for me. Sony did have a very recent firmware update for my drive, but it wouldn't work on my computer since I have a Samsu...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I'm only guessing here but have you tried updating the firmware on the blu-ray drive itself? Thanks for the response. Well I just went to device manager and tried to update drivers for the drive and it said I had the most current driver. Is there another way to do it? I never thought that the drive...

Re: Wii turns on and off randomly, constantly ejects discs

Thanks guys!

It does feel good to have got it working, even more so since it was my sister's and not my own.

I got it completely back together, everything cleaned inside and out, with a new battery. Working good as new!

Case closed and thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Wii turns on and off randomly, constantly ejects discs

Ok, well I did the best I could with the best I have at getting the corrosion off. It appears to be off and the system seems to be working just fine. I put wii sports in, played for about 10 minutes and everything worked just fine. Before I put it back together I'm wondering if there is anything I s...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

So basically buying a laptop with blu-ray capabilities was absolutely pointless. I haven't been able to play a new release in who knows how long. I finally downloaded the newest version of Cyberlink which is completely up-to-date and it still won't play my movie! I've only managed to play a handful...

Re: Wii turns on and off randomly, constantly ejects discs

Well I finally got to the actual eject button on the board. It does appear there is some kind of corrosion on the switch and where it is attached to the board. All I have is my damn camera phone and I can't get a close enough shot without it being completely blurry and useless. Would just cleaning i...
