I am a bit of a noob, how exactly can I locate a ground point? haha. Is there another way without scraping some of the green stuff off?
Thanks!

do you have a multimeter? if not try soldering a wire to the metal shielding that surrounds the RF.

Re: SMS FM Expansion Board Help?

The green stuff is the protective coating on the motherboard, and he is referring to the GROUND connection. Find a GROUND point and solder the shield to that, you don't have to scrape anything he was just talking about a quick and close point. That green stuff isn't only covering GROUND, it also cov...

I added a few more shots, I think you get the idea. TG16/PCE/DUO should be video modded.

Re: TG16/PCE/Duo Composite, S-Video, Component Comparison shots

ok my color saturation was WAY off on Composite and S-Video, I fixed and uploaded new pictures. Sorry about that, I just got the tv a few weeks ago and haven't fine tuned it yet. I think I have it just right now.

Re: TG16/PCE/Duo Composite and S-Video Comparison shots

I have a SCART RGB modded Duo with a SCART cable to go with it. I don't have a TV that accepts this cable. Would this allow me to do s-video with that same cable? Is anything lost/gained? The RGB to NTSC encoder will lose some quality, but it is still much better than composite. I added component a...

TG16/PCE/Duo Composite, S-Video, Component Comparison shots

So I modded a couple of units with S-Video using a CXA1645 to convert the RGB into S-Video and a CVS287 to convert RGB to Component. I noticed a big difference in clarity and colors. It looks like the original composite signal is washed out on the TG16/PCE/Duo and much better with the CXA1645. I'm u...

Re: Cost to mod my AES to play MVS games?

Cost for a consolization is more than an MVS to AES converter, if you already have an AES. MVS board ~$75 video encoder ~$50-$100 depending if you want S-Video or Component Unibios ~$30 Power supply ~$20 misc parts ~$20-35 depending if you want some sort of acrylic bottom or something, though if you...

Re: Most durable disc drive? JVC X'eye, Sega CDX, or Sega CD#2?

the quietest (I mean whisper quiet) and by far the least temperamental drive for me was the X'Eye and the Wondermega 2 drives. They played everything I threw at them, original games and CDR's of every brand. I never tried a CDRW as I don't have one.
