Re: Question about Japanese Saturn....
There's an action replay code that lets you boot Panzer Dragoon Saga with the cart inserted. I've only tested it with the USA and PAL versions, but I can dig it out for you if you want it. Why do you need PAL games to run at 60hz though? I've never had any problems running PAL saturn games on my NTS...

Re: Warcraft II Saga and swap trick.
I have never tried TDK cd-rs, but my saturn is picky about media. When in doubt use taiyo yudens. Try using a different original disc for the swap. You'll get different results. There might be something wrong with your bin2iso program. Just burn the original image directly with say Alcohol 120%. It'...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
After being shown proof of the emulator documentation you run away? Makes sense.. Here is a screenshot of the PC version of Sonic Adventure DX. Here is a shot of Sonic Adventure being emulated in NullDC. They dont look too much different do they? Besides some texture and model differences. If the em...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
Also, you are getting a 640x480 set of data at a high resolution. It is taxing on the video card because you are taking something and increasing the number of pixels it has to render, even though there aren't that many sets of data, it's still just as taxing. Why would the official documentation fo...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
What the hell do you mean by camera hack? Its a cell phone picture. What more do you want? Elaborate. Internal Resolution is a pretty common feature in emulators. In both PCSX2 and Dolphin you can set it low incase you have a weak graphics card and it will use upscaling. Otherwise you can set it hig...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
Okay, now we are getting into upscaling. Its simply a 480i/p picture, that is then upscaled to a higher resolution. While it does look better than simple stretching, the thing is there are only 640x480 pixels of data. So while it does look better, there is no more detail. Thus it isn't HD, its simp...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
Don't change the subject. The DC is probably in my top 3 consoles of all time. I'm in no way denying that for the late 90's and early 2000's, it was a beautiful piece of hardware. I understand you have a different opinion of what looks better and thats fine, you just need to understand the facts ab...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
The fact that you are saying that a Dreamcast game isn't that far off from a game "next-gen" (which is stupid to say, considering it's not next gen because guess what, all that hardware is out now) just shows your ignorance. A Dreamcast game can only have texture maps a certain size, and ...

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
If the game's code was limited to the DC's specs, than why do games that lag on consoles not lag on emulator? It must be using the extra specs?

Re: Dreamcast VGA: CRT vs. LCD
Please tell me how this image is stretched. It's a dreamcast game running on an emulator through dual projectors. Anything beyond the HUD would not be there in a normal 4:3 image that was stretched. Where is your proof that it doesnt render higher than 480p? Explain why a high resolution image produ...
