Re: World Map According to Americans
I've always assumed that all news was handled this way. I've never imagined that say, Japan's news reports much on things outside of Japan unless it actually affects Japan. I think it's also worth mentioning that the United States is a large country with a large population. If you live in Europe an...

I think it's criminal [...] Carmen Sandiago I see what you did there The map is also a reflection of the U.S. media. Watch any U.S. news program. Their news is, for the most part, obsessed with the U.S. and the U.S. alone. When they cover nations outside the U.S., it's usually because those nations...

Re: Good cinematic PC games.
Thanks for the recommendations, guys. So Planescape seem more like a novel? That's funny cuz I could have sworn that the game had audio clips. Mind you, I've never played the game...

Good cinematic PC games.
Hey, y'all. I wanted to get you all's pick of decent good cinematic games for the PC. Now, when I say 'cinematic', I don't necessarily mean a game with a lot of cutscenes. Rather, games with film-like presentation and production value; a game that immerses a player with atmosphere, character and sto...

Soul Calibur II; Link obviously
MK Deception; Shao Kahn and Goro
Splinter Cell; GBA link allowed you to use the GBA as radar/map, ala Metal Gear Solid.

Games that require multiple playthroughs
I was curious to know which games you all thought had the most replay value. I'm not talking about games that are played over and over because you can't get enough of it, i.e. the addictive ones, lol. I'm talking about games that actually create incentives to play through again and again, i.e. KOTOR...

Re: Best non point-and-click adventure games?
I know Adeline is dead, but there *might* be something in the works; m m Too bad it's not LBA 3 and most likely Time Commando 2 I'll still play it nonetheless. Probably the most enthusiastic fansite/forum related to a game released 10+ years ago out there: m Whoa. Nice find The game looks kinda wei...

Re: Best non point-and-click adventure games?
Wow! Really appreciate the response guys (big ups to Pulsar_t). A lot of these games I thought were console exclusive; particularly Onimusha 3. Go figure. Thanks, if you ever revisit this topic don't hesitate to tell us what you thought of the games. Grim Fandango and Little Big Adventure 2 are bot...
