I think the D-Pad on it is terrific and I loved that you could use it for most games instead of the analogue stick (something the N64 should have done) and I genuinely like the triggers and buttons. That being said I can't imagine playing Ikaruga with it (the GC controller is awesome for that game).
I think that it just felt like a step backwards from the Saturn's 3D controller.
I've never used the Saturn 3D controller but can understand given the Saturn's awesome D-Pad and six face buttons. I guess I was just so impressed with the DC controller because I compared it to the N64's.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates the N64 controller. I REALLY, REALLY hate it.

Certainly not. I remember when my buddy first got his N64 and I went to his place to check it out. I sat down with it and he handed me the controller and I was pretty much like... "what the fuck am I supposed to do with this thing?", good times.
DC controller isn't all that bad though. The d-pad can induce a bit of pain when playing fighters, but I always had a soft spot for the DC controller. VMUs are pretty badass.

I am mostly indifferent about the N64 controller. I like that the A+B+C buttons effectively form a 6-button pad, but the extremely fragile stick and shoulder buttons irritate me.

I agree. The button/stick placement for the most part didn't bother me. It was the fragile stick that bothered me the most.
I kinda liked the Virtual Boy controller in concept. Multiple d-pads, multiple triggers, face buttons... all in symmetry too!
Whatever happened to thesetwo Wii controller add-ons?

But does it let you use the backlit SP? (GC games that use the GBA has a mini-screen are nice, but the GBA screens makes it feel like an oversized VMU.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis. Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
