Re: I want to play something unique, but I need suggestions
I want to play something very unique within the traditional shooter genre, but it's difficult to explain in words how unique 'very unique' is to me, and I think that's where any confusion in the thread has stemmed from. I'm sure pretty much every traditional shooter has some kind of uniqueness to it...

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello, I'm new and while I've already taken the opportunity to contribute in a few other threads I thought I should introduce myslef here as well I'm 17 from London, and I like video games as well as plants and animals, martial arts and papecraft, and my favorite band is The Police. My favorite genr...

Re: thinking of buying an nes... *story inside*
Regarding the Gamecube, I would gladly pay $20 for just the Wavebird. They're out of production as well so if I were you I would snatch that up since I get the feeling they'll be worth a lot more in the future. But more NES related, if you're not into collecting I wouldn't advise it, since NES games...

Re: I want to play something unique, but I need suggestions
I've been playing shmups for 25 years. They're my favourite genre, and I *hate* Ikaruga. Just because you've been playing shoot em ups for 25 years doesn't make your opinion any more valid, and it's that kind of attitude that will put off young shoot em up newbies and eventually lead to the downfal...

Re: I need help identifying a Saturn game
Aha! That's the game. Thanks guys!
But yeah, it doesn't look very import friendly. No matter, I'm a sucker for charming 2D graphics and I love the game's style. I can probably manage to trod through it.

I need help identifying a Saturn game
I remember someone showed me a youtube video a while ago of a beautiful looking Japanese game for the Sega Saturn. The video title was in Japanese and I've lost the URL, so I need help identifying it. I'll try to decribe it as best as I can from memory. It looked to be a 2D adventure game where you ...

Re: What 3 Arcade Cabinets Would You Want?
I'm not an expert on arcade cabinets but I would probably go with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Ikaruga and Metal Slug. Runner up would be a Taiko no Tatsujin machine.

Come back when you get Polybius
Honestly though I'd love to have an arcade cabinet for something like Metal Slug. The idea of just having a massive arcade cabinet sitting in your living room is just so amazing.

I want to play something unique, but I need suggestions
Now, don't get me wrong, I love shoot em ups (actually Ikaruga is one of my favorite games ever), but the shoot em up genre has always struck me as the genre with the least innovation. Every single game seems to be exactly the same as the other but with different sprites and bullet patterns. I want ...
