Re: Radio Shack is closing (most of their stores)

I remember once paying for a game ticket at TRU and then they couldn't find the game and had to refund it. I can't remember what game but I do remember being very disappointed by it.

I love Rutger Hauer B-movies. Omega Doom and Crossworlds (both 1996) are two cheesy ones that come to mind.

One or both of those images got blocked by Malwarebytes for me, FYI. It's a known issue with Malwarebytes and Cubeupload. Most antivirus programs have no problem with Cubeupload: m I don't know that the kind of materialism our kids will experience will be any better or worse than the kind we grew u...

Re: Radio Shack is closing (most of their stores)

I'm happy to have grown up in the 80s and experienced the ultimate toy boom. http://i.cubeupload.com/21LL5r.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/B7dW3s.jpg In some ways, it's unfortunate my children will never appreciate the joy of wandering the aisles of stores like Toys R Us in awe at the amount of awesome...

Of course, smart phones were slow to catch on in Japan, but that's changed now. The console market is now worse th...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

technical question... I've been half-considering looking into a new TV for my game room. Since I actually have Xbox One and Switch in there now, it wouldn't be bad to have something nicer and bigger to play on. This would only happen after we get some Fall cleaning done, and I maybe sell off some e...

Re: Article: The Great Shift in Japanese culture

I know I'm late to the party, but this article was interesting so I wanted to add my thoughts. I lived in Japan for many years and have Japanese family members, so I have some first-hand experience with what the author discusses. First, his points are basically these: 1) Because incomes have decreas...
