Re: Nominate the Best of the Remaining Arcades!
Richie Knucklez in Flemington, NJ. It's mostly really old school (pre-1985 in most cases) and while it's probably not as big as Funspot (I've never been), there's still a decent selection of stuff. $10 for unlimited play on weekend nights is a blast. Also, 8 on the Break in Dunellan, NJ. It focuses ...

Re: HG101 Presents - Ode to Shmups
Yeah, I'm sure some Swedish speed metal/etc could work with a lot of shooter videos. I actually hadn't seen too many Muse fan videos at all, so I'm not really into the "scene", as it were. I just happen to really dig their sound. It was all done super newb style with VirtualDub, so I'm pre...

Re: HG101 Presents - Ode to Shmups
I don't really know of any other songs that would fit with any video game like this one, though, so there probably won't be any more, unless Muse puts out something similar to Map of the Problematique again. So Muse is all you listen to, huh? Can't really say I know of any other major pop music son...

Re: HG101 Presents - Ode to Shmups
What good is fast action if you can't see what's going on? And if the speed of the games doesn't fit the tempo of the song, maybe you should have picked a song that matched the video feed. It just seems really backwards to me that when making a video you'd screw up perfectly good game footage to ma...

What's the super cartoony one that starts at :55, and also the end one with "Hexa Forced Phoenix" in the corner?
The one at 0:55 looks like Bike Banditz to me.

Re: HG101 Presents - Ode to Shmups
And the whole double-timing the play speed? Stupid. Slow it down. Let us actually take a look at what's going on. Nah, I tried it at first going single speed, and it didn't fit the tempo of the song. The point is the fast paced action, not necessary seeing what's going on. The games in the intro ar...

Anyone have an idea who'd want to buy this material? Failing that where could I submit that and just get them posted without having to worry about people stealing them? Maybe it's pride, but I feel like putting some really good on some tiny blog somewhere is just asking to have it stolen. Sorry for...
