Re: ps2 slim with chip modbo 750 help need to boot elf files
modbo 750 can't boot .ELFs from usb on it's own. you need FCMB or ulaunchELF for that. though you CAN install a .ELF to memory card 1 (use ulaunchELF to make a boot folder and name your elf file boot.elf then put it inside the boot folder.) most modbo chips will boot from dev1 mode if you hold R1 at...

Re: Identify my flash cart?
you need PC side software to copy roms to it. i beleive ucon64 should work for your particular cart. also, judging by the flash chip, it appears you have a 16mbit cart (2Mbyte)

Re: Replacing a PSOne laser/internal stuff
I would check out the pinswitch for the disc door before you consider replacing the laser. When you have the disc door closed, does it attempt to spin the disc at all or does it go straight to the menu and give you an error message? a better test is to push the lid sensor in with no disk on the spi...

Re: What to do with mod-chipped systems with broken lasers
I'd suggest buying a brand new laser assembly. Swapping it out is pretty easy. I've purchased a few of them over the years for different fat and slim PS2 revisions from Modchip.ca and never had a problem. They all still work perfectly. I don't suggest going the USB hard drive route. There are loadi...

Re: FML, I think my Saturn just died. Please help me. Please
What happened during the time between when the console last worked and when it first started to go dead? I'm thinking maybe the power supply is busted. Does the green light stay lit, or does it blink? the light doesn't need to blink for the PSU to go bad. it could be dried out capacitors giving dir...

Re: Idea for PS2 Network Adapter SATA Mod.
this should, in theory work. but you're better off using extension cables and a laptop sized sata drive to keep it internal without having to cut the net adapter up at all. if you're going to cut the net adapter up, you may as well just do the full on SATA conversion. it DOES require soldering, but ...

Re: Phantasy Star 4, SCART to Component, 4 way switch issues
Try out Sonic 3. More white places you'll probably see this effect. File select, Ice Cap snowboard area... I have similar issues and think too strong of signal is to blame. Perhaps installing resistors in our SCART cables might work? nahh, it's gotta be the switchbox. i had a similar issue with a r...

Re: Consolidating: Best option for playing both PS2/PSX back
i can install a modchip in your PS2 for you. it will allow both import and copied PS1 and PS2 games to run straight off the disks, no swapping needed. i have modbo 4 chips onhand, check the link in my sig.
