Console Mod Services on RacketBoy

Post by scarper »

I'd like to compile a list of which RacketBoy members offer system modding services. I feel that it would make it easier for both the customers and the modders. I want this list to be as formal, helpful, and easy to use as possible. If you do offer a modding service, and would like to be added to this list, please post what consoles you mod (and/or other services), and a link to your thread.

Each entry will look something like this:

Username: Example_Racketeer22
Services: PS1, GC, and SS modding. Controller refurbishment.
[Link goes here]

LIST BEGINS HERE:

Name: ApolloBoy
Services: Classic console modding (AV mods, region switches, power LEDs), classic console repair (fuse replacements, voltage regulator replacements), console & controller cleaning
Thread: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26826

Name: Hobie-wan
Services: Game store, cart battery replacement, console/controller/cartridge case cleaning, fuse replacement.
Threads: General Services: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=22061
Restoration: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15693&p=161456#p161456

Name: SnowKitty
Services: classic console mods and repairs (most older and some newer consoles), custom SCART cables, cartridge battery replacements, and more.

Good idea. I think tho that it would be better, as a list, if it were just user names and links to their BST threads. I'm pretty sure all of the members here that actively offer modding services have BST threads for them. All the details and prices and whatnot can be found in their threads, so I think it would be neater to just have links.

It might be helpful to at least include the consoles they work on so you can easily see who can provide the services you need without having to click on every link. I do agree that prices and such aren't quite necessary in the initial list though.

These are both good ideas. I'll narrow it down to username, consoles, and links.

Thanks for the advice!

I do most cart batteries, general fixes on a case by case basis, and deep console case/cart & shell/controller cleaning. I also just got a load of fuses in so I can do those too. Definitely can do Famicom and SNES, likely all Nintendo consoles. If Sega fuses are 1.5 amp as well I'll be able to do those, just need to check.
