Re: What are you playing?
Just finished Tomb Raider on PS1, and I'm now playing Super Mario Land on Game Boy. Dang this is quite the simple and short Mario game.... I already beat it and I just started it lol. I'm doing the "expert mode" now. Fun for what it is I suppose... ultra catchy music too. I hated Tomb Raid...

Re: Is it worth the cost for real over emulation?
Last time I checked there were some visual anomalies from time to time with stuff like Dolphin(?). Plus even with calibrating the Gamecube controller through USB, the controls never felt EXACTLY the same as using it on an actual 'cube, but maybe those quirks could be a bit of user error? And the con...

Re: Is it worth the cost for real over emulation?
I would say the answer is no... but that doesn't stop me from having twelve different consoles with RGB and component hooked up. I vastly prefer the real thing, but overall emulation is "mostly" the same and you can save a lot of money that way. I use flashcarts, so that's kind of an in-be...

Re: Hearthstone thread
Yeah I like C'thun and agree with the above; the main problem the C'thun decks seem to be having from my perspective is either not drawing C'thun at all, or playing it at a time where it doesn't do enough in terms of winning the game or clearing the board. Once C'thun is dead there goes that person'...

Re: Together RPG - Fire Emblem - 2/01-4/01
Speaking of Awakening, I came across a game breaking strategy that made a lot of the experience not so fun for the last 5 or so maps: Level up two dark mages to max stats and solo the map using Nosferatu as your only attack. I really wish Fire Emblem would have limited grinding to maximize the strat...

It's too bad "Game Music Sack" on Final Bosses is probably also a casualty of this

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns Tropical Freeze
[on the original DKC trilogy] Sloppy control, slippery characters I definitely have to disagree with you there. The tightest platformers I've ever played in my life. DKC Returns is terrible in this regard IMO; Wiimote makes it very imprecise and I always accidently do the roll move with the waggle ...

Re: Hearthstone thread
It turns out the top tier decks don't use any of the Inspire cards that you mentioned (and barely any TGT), so I wouldn't worry too much about that. One major exception is Paladin with Mysterious Challenger. You definitely don't need Chromaggus or Prophet Velen; those are basically never played at t...

Re: Everdrive N8 GoodNES vs No-Intro
The thing is No-Intro sets are verified dumps; GoodNES not so much. I'm sure whatever doesn't work with Everdrive N8 with No-Intro is the same deal with the GoodNES versions. Check out this thread: m I of course own a complete set of carts but don't feel like dumping them all myself. Of course, EVER...

Re: Donkey Kong Country 3 fans UNITE
The only level I didn't really like in DKC3 was the very last level in the secret world, surprisingly enough.. the Rocket Run level. I just wonder what the hell they were thinking with the rocket barrel's controls and memorization of the level layout. Great game otherwise; I think I like DKC1 better...
