Re: What RPG are you playing right now?

Yeah, I know everything about the prices, it hurts to see them going up steadily, especially the Saturn 2D fighters are much more expensive than 2 years ago, RPGs are pretty much the same but still quite pricey. For example, PAL Night Warriors Darkstalkers went for about 10 bucks on ebay in 2008/09,...

Re: What RPG are you playing right now?

I'm finishing Shining the Holy Ark (about 25h on the clock), my first Sega Saturn RPG (if you don't count Panzer Dragoon Saga Demo or... Guardian Heroes). These days, when Saturn games are pretty pricey I had some luck with this title as I got it for about 25 pounds, which is a pretty good deal I be...

Re: What shmup are you playing now?

Finaly got Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus for Saturn, and I'm trying to conquer Salamander since monday, so far I can get to level 5 but then sooner or later I'm destroyed. It's been at least 40 tries and I still can't stop playing it! That's a sign of a good game.

Re: So apparently "Retro Games" suck..........

Objectively speaking, modern games are better in almost everything than retro games. Visual and audio quality being the most visible aspects that have improved. Nowadays games look, move and sound better, give players more possibilites, can actually be realistic when they need to be, have bigger las...

Re: Games Beaten : 2011

Resident Evil Outbreak - Beaten, though only on easy mode. It was my first "classic" RE, since the only one I've played before was RE4. I really like its replayability potential - 4 levels of difficulty, 8 characters, tons of unlockables and stats, and it doesn't get old for me (despite on...

Re: throwing the towel in.....

I have about 50 games for PS2, GBA, Saturn and PC and that feels like too much. I guess that's the price for being focused on retro games, and/or being too rich. With the exception of rare, collectible games, there's so much titles you can buy for practically nothing, and every time you come across ...

Re: Rant: my mom and my games

From what you've written it looks like your mother tries to compensate your brother for this diagnose, which I assume was heartbreaking for you, through pampering which somehow got out of control, making your mom do some unreasonable actions she rather ungraciously tries to explain when confronted. ...

Re: Addictive Gaming

It's one of those words you don't take literally, in this case it's just a way to express that a certain game will keep you glued to the screen. It doesn't mean you'll sit at the game for 24/7 (more like hour a day for a month), just that it'll have your attention for as long as it needs to be compl...
