In the summer of 2006, i moved from my hometown, to my grandparents old house. while living there, i found a box labeled games, couldn't help myself. once i looked in it, my jaw dropped. Found all three of these, along with games, not very many, and not all the cables are there. The 3Do works great, bought a few games for it off of ebay, and am now just getting to the segas. do any of you happen to know of any good place to look for parts? possibly some old treasure corner store, or website that lurks in the shadows of the trillion endless nodes out there?
my sega.. and 3do.
Re: my sega.. and 3do.
Haha they look a bit crusty but that's a pretty nice find, I'd be pumped. What kind of parts do you speak of? Like Cables and adapters?

Re: my sega.. and 3do.
controllers and any information on them really. what games where good for them, all that stuff. i'm kinda new to the retro gaming scene.
Re: my sega.. and 3do.
"The Horde" is supposed to be good for the 3DO. There's some other strategy sci-fi game involving planetary invasions and resource management that I can't remember the title of to save my life. However, it's expensive, so you'll have to pay through the nose if you want it.
As for the Segas... yeesh, people will probably flood you here in a minute, so let's see if I can't beat them to it. Good (cheap) games for the Sega CD include Silpheed, Robo Aleste (sequel to MUSHA), and Batman Returns. The crowning glory is probably Snatcher, but that's a bloody expensive game and I doubt you'll want to spring $80-$200 for it.
For the Genesis, Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight Adventures, Streets of Rage II, and Shinobi III can't possibly do you wrong. I've heard Thunder Force III is exciting too.

Star Control 2. Live it, learn it, love it. Although I got my sealed copy for $25 off Amazon Marketplace.Anayo wrote:"The Horde" is supposed to be good for the 3DO. Re: my sega.. and 3do.
That model FZ-10 3do is great at playing backups. Another vote for Star Control 2, Super Street Fighter 2, Shockwave, Gex, NFS, Horde (some versions will clear your NVRAM, you'll lose your saves), Return Fire, Road Rash... the 3do has lots of games worth playing.
Re: my sega.. and 3do.
Doesn't the sega cd also play backups without any problem?
The genesis has tons of games that aren't necessarily killer, but still fun for a few bucks each.

x2 on Return Fire, loved that game on PS1, I believe it's much cheaper and easier to find for the 3DO.bonefish wrote:That model FZ-10 3do is great at playing backups. Re: my sega.. and 3do.
sorry, like i said, i'm kinda new to all of this, what exactly is a backup?
Re: my sega.. and 3do.
Burned copy of the game. The first CD systems didn't use any kind of copy protection on the disks due to the scarity and cost of private CD burners. So you can just copy Sega CD, Turbografx CD, and 3DO disks all day long. Starting with the Playstation and Saturn you began to see copy protection on the disks themselves that couldn't be replicated by burning the disk. That's why those systems have modchips to bypass the copy protection check.
