Your favorite PC only SHMUP.
Whats your favorite PC only SHMUP? I've been loving these underground PC SHMUPS lately and was wondering if theres a good website to buy or download them for free. I've been liking Cloudphobia and Ether Vapor "thanks Racket for the Cloudphobia suggestion" and was wondering if there are other good ones out there. And if there is a huge underground following of these games I'm missing.

I really like the touhou games. The real shmup games start with #6 (Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil, and I think there are 11 or so. not freeware though

Tyrian 2000 is great, it has a pretty good story line and a lot of awesome weapons.

ChoRenSha 68k, awesome vertical shmup originally developed for the Sharp X68000, now it can be played for free on PC.

Kudos to "Evil Mr Henry" for porting all of Kenta Cho's stuff to Linux too.
