Dragon Ball Movie

Post by Snickerd00dle »

to be honest with you, the only thing appealing about this is the fact that i used to love the show when i was little, but upon seeing a preview i discoverd master roshi is played by chow yun fat, pretty awesome! the rest of the movie looks like trash

thoughts?

The problem with that advice is that the "quit it" portion of the process becomes much more complicated after the "hit it" maneuver has been completed. Much easier to "quit it" before all else.

You know, I'm still in this funk from finding out that they are going to have Keanu Reeves play Spike Speagal in the live action Cowboy Bebop movie.

Yeah, I'm still kinda absorbing the shock from a week or two ago finding that out. That and finding out they are making a two-movie manga tie-in for Akira, covering all the manga. Oh and its being done in Hollywood. I think that one hit me hardest.

Don't forget that Dreamworks has acquired the rights to a Live-Action Ghost in the Shell movie.

I swear, people need to realize that you shouldn't mess with perfection. Still, GITS seems to have a much better chance than Akira, Cowboy Bebop and Dragonball will, particularly because of this:
Universal and Sony were also chasing "Ghost in the Shell," but Steven Spielberg took personal interest in the property and made it happen at DreamWorks.

" 'Ghost in the Shell' is one of my favorite stories," Spielberg said. "It's a genre that has arrived, and we enthusiastically welcome it to DreamWorks."
Spielberg helming GITS? Considering how the rest of these anime movies are probably going to be run by hacks, I'd much rather take him over Uwe Boll.

Every piece of news I've heard in this thread so far makes me cry. Cowboy bebop and GITS are just fine the way they are, leave them alone. The Dragon ball thing just doesn't need to happen. Especially considering the fact that the fad is over. It simply does not work as a film, hell it barely worked as an anime.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

All of these announced classic anime adaptations are inarguable proof that the world hates me.

I don't think any of these shows and movies could be done justice as live action films. I won't be watching any of them unless I hear they are so bad it's funny. I honestly hope dragonball has a 20 minute long scene to scream while charging an energy blast.
