Big Bang Mini for Nintendo DS

Post by Elwood »

Didn't know exactly where to put this.

After browsing DSFanboy.com, I came across a game I hadn't heard of before that looked pretty cool. A shmup called Big Bang Mini. From the looks of it it's all stylus driven. Your ship is on the bottom screen while the enemies are on top. You drag the stylus to move your ship while avoiding enemy fire and grabbing power ups, and flick the stylus to shoot.

What do you think? Personally I think this looks pretty cool, totally worth keeping an eye out if you like shooters.

Also I laughed a bit when I saw that the box art is one of those animated motion pictures that changes when you tilt it. Gives it an even more retro look.
I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

This game actually just entered my radar a couple days ago (via Game Informer, as unfashionable as that may be). Certainly looks worth trying. Might have to double up on the screen protectors though.

I've been playing this for a few days now, and, aside from some undeniable annoyances, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Definitely a future "hidden gem" on a system that will doubtlessly have a ton of em.

I'll probably write a review once I've finished it, but as of right now, I'm a little over halfway through the main mode, and the difficulty is ramping up decently. The stylus is surprisingly ideal for shmups; it's SUPER precise.

Wow, this game is grand. Tested it out on the R4, just made the actual purchase today. I think it will be with the 20 dollars.
