I'm so disappointed in Racketboy!

Post by Scooter »

I recently found out my DSL provider also allows me to connect via dialup. I immediately connected my Dreamcast to the internet for the first time ever. I was going to post a Dreamcast-y post on the forums but apparently these forums are not HTML or use an HTML not compatible with the Planet Web browser.

Shame! Shame! Bad Racketboy!

:D :D :D

Well, the DC was a product of the late 90s.

And it's almost 10 years later.

My provider is Windstream. Call your provider, they probably allow you to connect via dial up too. You just need to know the SMTP, POP3 and DSN protocols and you're on!

You can't expect me to surf the net via dial up most of the time. ;)

It's probably got to do with Planetweb using an outdated variable POST method with the php and sql database on this website.

What happens when you get here? Nothing shows up, you can't post anything, stuff is jarbled???

Things old bro, what'd you expect!? I think since the last version of PlanetWeb php has gone through at least 2 major version updates. And the W3 standards have been revised probably 1 major version since as well... I know they only recently (in DC time that is) fully integrated JScript and XML into the W3 standard.

Not HTML? wha?
Wonder what's throwing it off?
If it's just the forum, your real complaints should be with the folks at phpbb....

I doubt it's the forum at all. Old browsers are old browsers no matter what you do. Try opening up a few sites with IE 4 or Netscape 3 the results would be about the same.

I wonder if anyone out in the world of the interweb ever bothered making an updated browser for the dreamcast?

You would think in 8 years since the advent of an extremely outdated piece of technology(the dreamcast) that racketboy would be able to figure it out. tisk tisk
You know that story, about how NASA spent millions of dollars developing this pen that writes in Zero G? Did you ever read that?
You know how the Russians solved the problem?
They used a pencil.
