Help me get online with my Saturn NetLink

Years ago I first stepped out into the internet via my Saturn NetLink. It's been ages since I was online with it and I've since moved on from dialup to DSL. I found out today that my DSL provider also allows me to get on via dialup for no additional cost. I was able to get online with my Dreamcast for the first time ever. When I hooked up the NetLink, it dials and I can seen the modem messages stating it is trying to connect. For some reason my login password is always the failure point. I've reentered my password multiple times and I can't get it to work.

I remember back in the day this thing was finicky about the modem protocols that were used. They were ATDT or other such codes, some protocols were quite long with lots of &'s and such.

Any idea what modem protocols I could use to get the best connection? Is there anyone else out there who can get online with their NetLink? What mistakes might I be making here?
