Hey guys,
Looking for some help with an issue that I have in trying to set-up a N64 controller for use with the Project 64 emulator. I have been using Poject 64 emulator and a PC based controller which was all fine, no issues. However, to maximise the experience I wanted to use the official N64 controller and buy a some sort of USB Adaptor to hook it up to my PC with. So I bought a PSX+N64 adaptor from Ebay.
***My problem is when I hook the N64 controller up through the USB adaptor and go to play the game, it's like one of the buttons is on some kind of automatic turbo mode or something without me pressing it. For example I'm trying to play Mario 64 and the camera option which would normally be the right shoulder button is clicking like mad without me actually pressing it.
I'm hoping its something trivial related to the configuration of the buttons as oppose to a hardware fault - as the controller itself seems to be okay and the adaptor. I have been messing about with the input configuration (trying to allocate what buttons on the controller do what) to see if that's got something to do with it, as I change the buttons about it's definitely making slight differences to the game, but can't get that bloody camera option to stop clicking. How should I go about setting up an N64 controller and adaptor for first use using project 64?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks guys,

It's probably a faulty adaptor/driver issue. Have you tried the controller on a real N64?
