"The Ocean Hunter" looks like the light gun game ever.

This game looks absolutely incredible! If only it weren't for Sega's decision not to release the Dreamcast lightgun, we might've seen a Dreamcast port. I'm about to download a ROMset with this in it. Looks amazing!

...but there is a Dreamcast light gun... Either way, that looks pretty cool, I think I'm gonna give it a shot myself.

I've played it in arcades

It's awesome, and I'd love to have a home version

Weird, cause I've played it in arcades and thought it was pretty bad. To each his own, I guess.

i wikiepedia'd this game and the bosses alone garnered my interest in it. than again, i've always have had some severe interest in underwater life.

Oh my god. I was just at a laundry mat that had this arcade machine. They also had a Neo Geo SNK machine that had puzzle bobble, king of fighters 98, fatal fury, and some strange wrestling style game. Then it had five other standard machines (ms.pacman, cruis'n). That was the greatest Mexican laundry mat ever.

Uh... how is that an epic fail? Sega pulled light guns in the US because of the Columbine incident. That's why the only lightgun games released were House of the Dead 2, Confidential Mission, and Death Crimson OX, even though Sega had a ton of popular lightgun games in arcades at the time. It's entirely possible that it's a bad game, I still haven't played it. I just think that the ocean is a prime candidate for creepiness, what with all the dark caves, and the fact that the life forms around you have billions of years on you in terms of adaptation to the environment. A dark, underwater cave with a giant man-eating sea monster is a horrifying place to be. I think setting a light gun game along the lines of House of the Dead in such a setting is an awesome idea.

Oh, and here's the ROM set for the guy who asked: http://segahub.org/index.php?topic=1505.0

Seriously though, how was that an epic fail?
