Street Fighter IV
Re: Street Fighter IV
Some of those moves are kinda dull compared to others.
Re: Street Fighter IV
It's already on my Amazon wishlist, as well as all the varieties of the joypads.
Re: Street Fighter IV
Looking forward to it, but that video reminds me how much that zooming-in thing bothers me.

Re: Street Fighter IV
I actually kinda like the zooming in. Regardless, I think Blanka's, Ryu's, and Dhalsim's were the most underwhelming.

Ditto. Wanky camera antics do not belong in technical fighting games.racketboy wrote:that video reminds me how much that zooming-in thing bothers me.
But it's a small criticism on an otherwise great game.

They can zoom in all they want as long as the action is frozen, like it always is during those moves.elvis wrote:Ditto. Wanky camera antics do not belong in technical fighting games.racketboy wrote:that video reminds me how much that zooming-in thing bothers me.

That's the feeling I have, Moz. Now, let's move on to a more serious issue. That damn announcer. The announcer was cool back in Killer Instinct when he added just enough color to the game.

Re: Street Fighter IV
It's hard to tell from the video, since all of the moves hit, but it seems that countering is going to be harder with all the crazy zooming. It didn't bother me in Street Fighter EX, but the zooming was less distracting and quicker in that game.Mozgus wrote:They can zoom in all they want as long as the action is frozen, like it always is during those moves.
Re: Street Fighter IV
I spent a LOT of time playing this in the arcades in Japan and I can honestly say that after getting over the initial WOW factor of the graphics it was like I was playing Street Fighter II again! The zooming was not distracting at all to me and all of the old special moves were pulled off as easy as they were back in 1992
.
It felt really good playing against real people sitting next to me in the arcades, Made it really depressing when I come back home and MAYBE find a game in the Walmart lobby to play(usually a deer hunting game
