Playing the Saturn Dezaemon Save Game Manager

I'm a little lost on how this all works, but I figured this would be the place to ask.

So I have a Japanese Saturn, a copy of Dezaemon 2, and a memory cart. It looks like I need to get a mod chip to be able to run the Save Game Manager because it's a burned CD, but will that allow it to run on even a Japanese Saturn? Or is there another step involved?
