Saturn 3D Controller Cable

Post by Kemiroch »

Hey guys,

I just picked up a Saturn over the holidays and I love it! But I have a question. I bought it with 2 regular controllers, but the seller threw in a 3D controller as a bonus. Unfortunately, it doesnt appear to have the cable with it. Is there any way to get just the cable for it, or am I out of luck and have to buy a whole controller? Thanks.

The cable is entirely unique at the end where it connects to the controller so you'd have to get pretty lucky to find a cable for sale all by itself.

Such a silly thing to do. Seems like they'd save money by using standard connectors. If I were you, I'd open that thing up and replace the connector with something sensible.

Thats probably a bit out of my league :) But I'd be willing to try if there was a guide available!

Get a cheap 3rd party controller, chop the cable off and just solder the 3D controller to that instead.

I have no idea where you'd find a pinout for it though.

you might find an already broken or badly worn Saturn controller, and use it to rebuild the 3dcontroller. the wiring is probably the same, so a little wire reconnection and you're all set to go!
