Saturn too hot to handle! Youch

Post by durkada »

Well, not exactly too hot to handle -- I'm not even certain if anything is abnormal with the console. I haven't touched the bugger in a long time -- only to play Bomberman with some friends. But what the heck, I figured I'd mod the bugger. That was done successfully, and it works quite happily.

However, I noticed that the power supply is getting quite hot. I'm not certain how normal this is. It may have always been a little hot, and I've never noticed it. But now I do, and I don't like it. Before I start tearing the machine apart, I was simply hoping if someone could confirm whether or not this is normal. I'd rather not waste my time if this is a common issue.

Thanks!

If your worried you could alwayd pop open the battery cover and point a fan in there. Ive never really worried about that with mine.

I'm worried to the extent that I wonder if it is normal for it to get hot. If its supposed to be cool at all times, then I'll really worry and do something about it.

So, does yours generate a bit of heat on the left side of you Saturn?

Thanks
