solutions to psp v.3000 mic echo.

Post by weasels »

ok. now i relize that most people do not care about skype on their psp. but i found some usefull information. this is a problem i know no one has been able to figure out and if they did then they never posted it. so the problem is the echo that comes with the built in mic when talking to another person through skype. this was because the mic was picking up what was coming out with the speakers. so in a thought to stop this i simply put normal headphones on and there you have it! you can talk! i figured you guys could share the knowledge more than me because this is the only forum i really go to. and i figured there was someone out there who needed this info!

it does occur i know im not the only one. i assure it is not just my psp. i have found one forum on the ps website that had this problem (im preety sure) and a few others on other sites. the main reason its not talk about in my mind is because no one really cares about skype essentially. but i figured id put this up if by chance someone ran into this problem. and as i said before this is the only forum that i go to. i googled the problem so thats how i found forums with this problem. but i relize not everyone uses a search engine.

The main downside of the PSP's Skype is that you have to be connected to a wireless network, which prevents it from being a fully useful phone system. If you're at home you can use your computer for Skype, which strikes me as the main use case. You could use it at the airport, as that strikes me as a large use case of wanting to talk on the phone and having an access port available, but then you run in to the question of how many people have a PSP and Skype and don't have a cell phone? Skype really strikes me as a replacement for a landline.

I can see nothing more pointless than skype on PSP.

The only reason you'd ever want to use it is for long distance international calls for nothing.

If you are near a wireless router. Just use a PC...
