HRAP 3 for PS3 $89.99 at amazon till 1/10/09

No I don't work for Amazon, but I had to pass this along.

This has got to be the cheapest anyone stateside will get one of these. Now all we need are some games to play with it.

I am looking forward to playing 1942 and Soldner X with it. Virtua Fighter 5 and Virtua Tennis are also Joystick friendly.

I've got the 80GB model with software emulation, and I was surprised to find that my Hori Fight Stick (USB connection) worked with PS2 titles. I've used it on the SNK collection, as well as raiden 3. I'm assuming the HRAP 3 will work as well.

What is a HRAP 3? I'll assume its a Hori's Real Arcade Pro 3. Sorry I'm not well versed in joysticks or acronyms.

So after the photos were taken, I plugged it in, and guess what? The X button sticks slightly. Holy hell, any other button would have been better than the X button! I could remap, but I feel that it should work perfectly out of the box. So back to amazon it goes.

I've got a replacement on its way. We'll see what the verdict is on that one. Supposedly, it's being shipped, and I just have to send the old one back within 30 days (on their dime), or I get charged for both. Fair enough.

I use the FS3 for my current SSF2THDR addiction, and after I replaced the square gate with an octo I've been loving it. That said, I do have the Mad Catz Tourney stick coming for extra SF4 goodness. Being a fairly recent convert to sticks for fighting games I feel that the FS3 is good enough, but that Mad Catz stick will let me have two for head to head action.

btw if anyone has a HRAP 2 or PSX based HORI stick - the V-Twin adapter should work - its working perfectly for my HRAP 2 on my PS3...

That would have been much more economical, as I have a shit ton of PSX sticks. I'm a fan of the Namco stick that was released with Tekken...2 perhaps??
