To the Tenchu fans

Post by Mozgus »

Not sure if you guys are familiar with Tenchu: Shinobi Hyakusen, but here's the unlockable videos contained on it. Think of Tenchu: Shinobi Hyakusen as the Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions disc. Similar concept. Never left Japan.

Is it worth playing?

I haven't played a tenchu game since wrath of heaven on the ps2. I checked out the gamerankings and metascores on the series and it looks like it went downhill after that game. Watching those videos made me kinda have an urge to play tenchu again though. Those first three are so much fun. Maybe I'll just replay some old ones....

I hope that wii one will be good.

yea its too bad Tenchu Z was the first game w/ updated graphics that would look good on the original Xbox (but on the 360 its just poor) and customization. Mabe a few new moves too. But only worth about 2 dollars if you ask me.

I remember playing the first two for the first time. Blew my mind. Loved every second of it.

If memory serves- the third is on par with the first two. It doesn't break any new ground, but it is still fun stealth action. A pleasure to play. I did last play it in 2005 though, so take that with a grain of salt. Who knows what the test of time does to a game.

I didn't know there was a 4th on the ps2 until today. I don't know if that is a good sign...

Fatal Shadows, I believe. Stars Ayame and a new even slimmer, petite little ninja girl. Without Rikimaru, I guess I'm not too eager to play it. I really loved Tatsumaru from Tenchu 2, because most of his moves didn't even use his sword. He was brutal.

Just got word that the Early Development video in that set will be featured on unseen64.net's front page after winter break. :)
