CN's "Foster's Home..." Swear Word Contraversy!!!! PLZ READ!

Post by REPO Man »

I was just watching Cartoon Network's premiere of the new "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" movie "Destination Imagination".

And during one scene... BLOOREGARD Q. KAZOO SAYS:

"You just pissed off the monster, that's what!"

The movie played at 8p and again at 9:30p, both EST. It's currently playing now, but the scene in question won't happened for a while.

Yeah it turns out that no one in my family knows what rickroll is. I just got a bunch of blank stares.

there's something strange about hearing the boomy announcer voice saying "the rickrolling phenom" on national tv.

They said 'pissed off' years ago on Nickelodeon. I know I'm old, show was called 'Salute Your Shorts'. I remember it like it was yesterday - Sponge, the nerd, entered a contest where he had to answer questions on the radio (I think the dudes name was "Giant Jim") and it was down to the wire and Sponge didn't know the answer and he said "I'm not pissed off because I didn't win..."

Holy shit, that rickroll is amazing. I knew rickrolling was big, and probably one of the most well known 'memes' of recent years since damn near everyone's been rickrolled once or twice, but I didn't expect Macy's fucking Thanksgiving Day Parade to rickroll me.

As for the cartoon thing REPO was talking about, who cares. It's just a sign that 'vulgar' language is getting more common and accepted, considering 'piss' was considered OK for a children's cartoon. Which is fine with me.
