Excuse: It may very well die.
Sorry.
Actually, I thought you were going to post a deal for the original Xbox

Yeah... I really only want an original Xbox.

I plan on picking one up used in a few years time. I figure if it hasn't died by then, it's probably safe for quite a while.

I had a 360 for a while. The thing was just awful in every way imaginable.
The only thing I played on it was Outrun, Shenmue 2, Panzer Dragoon and JSRF (all original Xbox software). The 360 games I had for it were just crap. The system was poorly made and dozens of strange sounds would come out of it at all times, the dashboard was clumsy and cluttered with advertisements, etc.
Bad system.

Huh...well I really would like to get a 360, and that does seem like a really good deal...but I don't really have $200 right now anyway.
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...
Re: If you don't already own an Xbox, there is no excuse now.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 360, but i'm on my 4th one now and i've really lost all faith in Microsofts hardware. I still play the occasional exclusive but the PS3 is now my main source of current-gen gaming - it's just all-round a better piece of hardware, and the failings of PS3 ports of multi-platform games are overly exaggerated. I was also disapointed by the poor backwards compatability of the 360 - i've been dying to replay Panzer Dragoon Orta, but it always freezes on the 3rd stage when I play it on the 360, so i've recently ordered a 'slimbox' off ebay which is an xbox with the dvd drive layer removed and xbmc pre-installed on the HDD. Can't wait to catch up on PDO, JSRF, Morrowind, Ralisport Challenge and all my other Xbox favourites

Did it actually let you order? Its not allowing me to buy it. It keeps saying that its not avaiable at my location?

Yea it's gave me that too. I called their customer service and some women from South East Asia picked up. She literally read from cue cards the entire time and I got no help whatsoever. Finally she tells me it has been discontinued. Needless to say I didn't get my Xbox.

Yup, you're better off just buying a newer one on down the line. The newer chipsets are seeing failure rates plummet through the floor.
Plus, who would want that tacky blue controller, anyways?
