Quite a few.

I bought a PS2, broken, for $20 and fixed it. It lasted long enough for me to try out the all the highest rated titles ever released on it, only to futher assure my opinion that it has a mediocre library. Then it died like 2 months later from new, totally unrelated issues.

I have fixed a couple Dreamcasts that had the common PSU pin issues.

I fixed an NES that wouldn't read most games, by just replacing the 72 pin connector; a widely known fix.

I "fixed" a lot of PS1s which stopped reading games, by doing the lens pot tweak, but as we know, it's not a permanent fix. It only postpones death by about 6 months.

Ditto, plugged a US Dreamcast (110V) into a European power outlet (230V) without using a transformer (mind you, I thought the adapter I was using acted as one!). Stupid, stupid...

fixed my jap dc that my brother powered up with my pal ps2 cables...

also fixed numerous ps2's after people attempted to chip them, so these vary from blown smt fuses to blobs of solder on chips that need cleaning up. Changed drive and lasers as well for the ps2 and the odd psx as well.

nothing interesting i am affraid.

Once got 3 dead PS2s... used two to make 1 working one. Used the third as a anvil.

I have the same Sega CD I got back in 1991, the thing has broken a few times (model 1) due to going through my VERY large family. It still works today!!!!

I used to repair tons of PS2s, lens's, motors, overheating problems among other strange things that I don't even know how I got them working again. All the kids at school loved me for it.

I've had to replace the controller ports on my genny twice due to younger siblings bending all the pins.

Random DC problems for me and my buddy Pate.

And finally I'm all of my friends tech help for their XBOXs. Usually their problems are related to dead DVD-ROMs and mod chip problems. I'm sorry, but mod chips for them are very buggy and just get random problems here and there. Some of them think they got ripped off. I tell em' they're breaking the law so they should expect a few hiccups here and there. It's not like I charge them anything to fix their problems... nor is it my fault that they fuck up!

To tell you the truth it usually is because they are pointing to wrong directories on the dashboard, rip dirty games, and install homebrew software that hasn't reached a stable version.

haven't revived any, but regret throwing a couple of them away. 1 DC that had sound but not video. 2 DC that controllers wouldn't register, and a ps2 with dre's.

I found my phat ds outside that i've been missing for a month. It is completly soaked and has water inbetween the screen. The game has what looks like rust on top but still works :o I wonder if let the ds dry if it'll work?
