Re: Megadrive sega genesis dreamcast emulator
I think you are playing the hacked Sega Smash Pack, if I remember right you have to press the ABXY and Start, just like a soft reset to get the menu back.
Re: Megadrive sega genesis dreamcast emulator
I downloaded that very torrent a couple weeks ago... played Sonic the Hedgehog first, the sound was so bad, probably the worst Genesis sound reproduction I've ever heard. I've been playing emulators since 1997. I took the cd and tossed it in the trash
any Genesis emulators for Dreamcast that are worth a damn?

Not really, that's the best one out there, as it was made by SEGA themselves.
Re: Megadrive sega genesis dreamcast emulator
There is another Mega Drive emulator that, while not as fast or compatible as Sega's Smash pack one, has far better sound. I can't remember what it was called, but I think it was GenesisPlus. There is also a gen4all, but I haven't tried that one out.

The official Sega emulator is horrible.
GenesisPlus is the best one out of the current bunch last time I checked. There has been talk of a new Genesis emulator for the console by the name of Gens4all. The same people that brought us the wonderful Neo4all emulator are supposed to be working on it.
There is even talk of Sega CD emulation after Genesis emulation has been perfected although it will probably be impossible to get one running at full speed for _most_ games.
