Personally the Saturn Model 2 pad is my all time favorite controller.
To answer your question, YES it is amazing! Any chance to use the SSM2 I support.
You wont be disappointed especially for 2D fighters
Hope that is helpful.
P.S. let me know if you can track down some PS2 Saturn pads.

It really seems like that would be the only thing you would benefit from using a Saturn pad on the PS2.lotekindustries wrote:You wont be disappointed especially for 2D fighters
I'm not sure what the prices are but if they are ridiculously expensive then I'd say no, stick with what you have.

I have always meant to pick up a converter to use a Saturn pad with my Dreamcast. Maybe I should get on that.

I reckon it'd be pretty great for any PS2 shoot-'em-ups. 'Cuz the PS2 controller sure as hell isn't meant for them.Citizin wrote:It really seems like that would be the only thing you would benefit from using a Saturn pad on the PS2.

I'd also like to know how much one of those Saturn pads goes for, if anyone finds out.
My game-related blog.

Mind giving a review on that pad? How does it work for the more complex motions in Street Fighter. Asked by a shoto player....stick with the Neogeo pad
Thanks.
Saturn pad.
Absolutely worth it.

Thanks ill stick with the saturn then the prices though seem to be ranging from 15 US for 1 to 50 US for 2 so fairly reasonable, on ebay.com type in Sega Saturn USB Controller also works on the comp to! Apparently

The prices don't seem so bad after all but I would still find it hard to use the button schemes for ps2 or most pc emulators. Emulating Genesis would be excellent with it of course but I think I'll stick with my dual action Logitech gamepad.MaliceValentine wrote:Thanks ill stick with the saturn then the prices though seem to be ranging from 15 US for 1 to 50 US for 2 so fairly reasonable, on ebay.com type in Sega Saturn USB Controller also works on the comp to! No analog sticks means that a large number of games in the ps2 library will be limited but if you have lots of 2D fighters or shooters, this is way better than the standard ps2's dpad.
