Anybody ever use this pad for Street Fighter?
Would like to know how the unusual d-pad worked on the more complicated specials and longer combos.

there is the artical. Its on the first page, but a few down if you search for ps2 neo geo.
Looks like something fun, but nothing i would use on a regular basis.

If the d-pad is anything like the original Neo*Geo CD pad, it sucks... Get a Neo-stick instead.

If the D-pad is remotely like the NGPC, I want one. Can they still be found?

$60 on ebay and very hard to find. You can try to get it as part of the KOF94/Pad package for PS2 which will run you between $60 and $80.Ramatut4001 wrote:If the D-pad is remotely like the NGPC, I want one. Can they still be found?
I love the saturn pad and this one would definitely be an experimental purchase. Not sure if it is worth it.
The d-pad maybe awesome for some moves like hadoken but I heard other moves like Shoruken are harder. It is one of those 'click' (microswitched) d-pads that require you to 'activate' the contact points.
Ironically, SEGA made this controller for SNK at the time the Saturn USB and PS2 were being released.
I think there is a decent chance it might be rereleased in (USB form?) when Street Fighters and the latest SNK's show up on PS3/360.
Maybe from the company that did the Wii Neo stick?
