Before a PS3 ''slim'' comes out Sony needs to turn a profit from the PS3. I personally like the size and look of the PS3, It looks like a ''high end'' video game system. The only thing i dislike about it's appearance that the piano black is a dust magnet and dust is never a good thing around electronics so this might decrease the systems durability due to the dust getting into the motherboard and causing overheating and other such internal dust problems that can happen with internal dust build up.

The power consumption is outrageous for both 360 and PS3, I'll wait for new, hopefully greener models before I take the plunge either way.

No~ Sony needs to release the slim version in order to turn a profit on the PS3. Every PS3 is still sold at a loss...Dreamstation wrote:Before a PS3 ''slim'' comes out Sony needs to turn a profit from the PS3. Considering the cost of Blu-Ray drives, it's going to be a bit before we see a PSThree.

I reckon that Sony's engineers can whip something up by Wednesday. They've only neglected to mention this to the marketing department.

what makes you think that spending millions of dollars developing a slim will automatically make the thing cheaper so they can make profit?D.D.D. wrote:No~ Sony needs to release the slim version in order to turn a profit on the PS3. they would have to jack the price up, maybe, then people cant afford the system these days
sounds to me they will only lose money even more
