Fallout 3
Fallout 3
Anyone started playing it yet? I got the PC version and am a few quests in to it. It's running on the Oblivion engine, but it's been optimized better, and they removed the damn enemy auto-leveling, which is fantastic. Unfortunately, it seems the PC version has a crashing issue, wherein every so often the game will randomly crash. It's kept me from proceeding any further until someone has a decent idea of why this is occuring, whether it needs a patch, a tweeked option, or new drivers. But so far I've been enjoying it. Amusingly enough, I've found the random dogs to be more deadly than the people, until I got the shotgun.

Re: Fallout 3
Played this at Pax (of course), but I have to wait on getting the 360 version from Gamefly.
I would rather play the PC version with a more optimized computer. It isn't very taxing on the system requirements, I exceed the minimum in quite a few areas, but I would rather have it run flawlessly on my 360 than pretty well on my PC.
Keep us updated.

Re: Fallout 3
A random crash before patches have been released is not uncommon for a Bethseda game..in fact you can trace it all the way back to Tes:Daggerfall.
But speaking of Fallout 3 i cant wait to try it on my pc

I must say, I really enjoyed how they handled when you first step out of the Vault. You open the door of the cave, and the screen turns white, then very very slowly your eyes adjust. To a bleak wasteland. Awesome.

Re: Fallout 3
It sucked me away from Little Big planet due to the server problems. I've never played such a huge environment with so many things to do. The storyline forks seem to be crazy with some actions making you completely evil right off the bat. Everything about this game is awesome. I've got Fallout 3 and Little Big Planet at the same time, talk about two amazing games on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Re: Fallout 3
It makes me a bit sad that it really just is Oblivion with guns, essentially, but it's still a good game in its own right.

Well, first my Xbox 360 stops recognizing the Fallout 3 game disc, then it RRODs on me. I guess I will play this one in December...
