Sega Saturn Expansion Slot not working

GAH. My battery went out and I have my backups on the 4 in 1 Gameshark but just my luck the expansion bay stops working. Anyways to troubleshoot and/or fix the problem?

I can't offer any helpful suggestions but I do have a spare Saturn motherboard if you can make use of it. When the system was last fired up it worked except that the video output was in black and white not color. I don't know if you could scavenge the expansion port off of it successfully or not. I'm keeping the CD drive as a spare but the rest of the unit is available for parts.

i was able to get it to work w/ a pair of needle nose pliers and squeezed the slots closer together.

I've posted countless times on this forum about this already, so I'll make it nice and short this time. The Gameshark ruins the Saturn's cart slot. I highly suggest ditching it for pretty much anything else.
