Okami Wii replacement covers
Okami Wii replacement covers
Did anyone here order replacement covers for their copy of Okami for the Wii? Capcom decided that it was easier to snatch an image from IGN than to find their own copy of... their own image. So they made order forms available online to receive new ones, sans watermarks.
I received mine in the mail finally, on October 14th in unfortunate shape. Capcom definitely didn't want to pay more on postage than they absolutely had to, so the envelope was paper thin. I doubt many people received their copies in collectible condition.
On the bright side, it was free (can't complain), and Capcom sent two copies since it took them so damn long.

Yeah, wish I owned the game before they stopped taking orders, I would have never thought to do so without having the game.

I did, and I don't even own Okami...or a Wii...yet! I have not received mine yet.
If your copy sucks, Capcom did provide a link the the actual pdf images, I believe. Just take that high quality image to Kinko's (or whatever they're called now), and use some high quality paper to print it.
EDIT: Here ya go. I knew I had bookmarked it.

PharmaCowboy: I only thought to because I love the artwork. Not necessarily the original cover art, but the other ones for sure. I'll be picking up the Okami art book eventually. It is exactly the style I love. Japanese watercolor on rice paper look...love it.

I don't own the Wii version, either, but I bought the PS2 version last year. If it means anything to Capcom, it's on my list of games to buy for the Wii. I actually have a list, too, and it's quite short.

Yes, my list is short as well. Kinda like the Saturn, to me. Very few quality games available for each, but those I do want are phenomenal.

I'm so happy you made this post. I had given up hope of ever getting my replacement sleeves. I'll just have to wait a little bit longer I guess. By the way do you live in Canada or the US?

Re: Okami Wii replacement covers
just got my okami covers today...iirc, i thought that everyone who requested them had to pick 1 out of the 3 designs, but what I received were 2 covers...one each of the "alternate" covers...they both have the original boxart (w/o the IGN logo, of course) on the back side...
they arrived in a paper envelope as flimsy as regular binder paper, lol...there was a slight crease in them, since my mailman had to stuff them in my mailbox with a bunch of other crap, but it's absolutely not visible once it's in the case, and my guess is if i take em out after a few days, the crease won't even be there any more...

I live in the United States. And you will notice, like the rest of use, how flimsy the packaging is. Normal envelopes are thicker...

Re: Okami Wii replacement covers
Wow, I ordered those months ago...poor job Capcom. I'll have to check my home address to see if they have arrived.
